Sicily's hinterland

Description

The Nebrodi and Madonie mountain ranges are the last offshoots of the Italian continental Apennines; all around there is a ferment of hills that end where the sea begins. And the Erei Mountains, with their lakes, natural and mining reserves (the area was known for the extraction of sulphur in the past).
In addition to fantastic naturalistic trips, you have absolutely to admire the archaeological finds in the area of the ancient greek colony of Morgantina (agora and greek theatre), the Roman archaeological area of Centuripe and Villa del Casale, declared by UNESCO "World Heritage Site", due to the beauty of its priceless Roman mosaics.
